A yummy Mexican restaurant in Kennedy Town
I’m a huge lover of a huge pile of Nachos and a big ol’ bowl of Chili Con Carne. Any time someone asks “Mexican food?” my answer will always be “YES.’
I’ve visited quite a lot of Mexican restaurants in Hong Kong (stay tuned on my website for a round up blog post in the future) but I have to say, my favourite has been Tequila On Davis, located in Kennedy Town.
It’s a small, cosy and vibrant restaurant located near the Kennedy Town Promenade. The staff are always very welcoming and their menu is HUGE. It has so much to choose from, which I love.
Drinks – Mexican inspired Cocktails
First, before choosing our food, we ordered some delicious cocktails. I ordered the ‘Passion Rita’ cocktail and my fiancé went for a very impressive looking drink. I can’t remember the name but all I remember was he loved it!
Starters…Go big or go home
Following our drinks, it was time to choose our starters. My fiancé and I went for this bad boy. It’s called ‘Mix Platter’ and it had Chicken Wings, Mexican Skewers, Nachos, Calamari, Mushroom Quesadilla, Potato Wedges, Sour Cream and Baja sauce. We demolished it so quickly because it was so good. (Yes, we can eat a LOT.) *Side-eye*
A classic main dish
For our main course, we ordered the Chile Con Carne. It’s hands down one of my favourite meals. This restaurant’s version of it did not disappoint.
In the end, we were way too full for a dessert so we finally decided to walk off our full tummies of food by strolling over to the Kennedy Town Promenade. I love going to restaurants with pretty scenery close by because it makes for the perfect date night.
We had such a lovely evening and I would really recommend this place to anyone who’s searching for a good date night restaurant.

Thanks for the recommendation. My favourite Mexican places closed down during Covid. I need to try this!
